All items on this site are hand made. Most items are ready to ship. Regardless, your order will be ready to ship in 3 to 7 business days from the date of the order. If there is any delay in the making process, you will be notified by email of the delay.
shipping costs are calculated as follows:
$1 - $50.00 shipping is 22% of total order cost
$50.01 - $100 shipping is 17% of total order cost
$100.01 - $150 shipping is 12% of total order cost
$150.01 - $200 shipping is 7% of total order cost
$200.01 and up, shipping is free
The shipping carrier selected may be changed due to shipping costs. The larger and heavier packages are more likely to ship UPS or FEDEX and smaller packages are more likely to ship USPS. The shipping cost charged to the customer is based on the order and will almost always be less than actual shipping costs.
Once ready to ship, your items will be shipped with tracking and insurance. Expect 3 to 10 days shipping time. All carriers experience extended shipping times during October, November, and December. Please plan accordingly.
We have holiday order cut-off dates as follows:
Christmas order cut-off is 10 December. We know this seems early, but we need to ensure we can make the order, and still provide time for shipment. Any holiday purchases after 10 December may be delivered after 25 December.
If you are local to the Des Moines, IA area, you my select Local Pick-up as your delivery option. This requires a phone number so we can text and let you know the order is ready for pick-up, and set an appointment for the pick-up. Pickup appointments are available most evenings, and weekends.
When you arrive for pick-up, park on the street on the north side of the house. Text your name, and make and color of your vehicle. We will bring your purchase to you.
How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
How do I handle Lost Shipments?
Lost shipments - The tracking information usually includes an estimated delivery date. Should you be concerned about a late or missing package, please email us with the details, including order number and tracking number. We will try to work with the shipping company to locate your shipment.
How do I handle Damaged Shipments?
Damaged shipments - If your package arrives damaged, please take pictures of the package before opening, and the items once opened. Notify us within 10 days of receipt. We will replace damaged items with the same or similar item. Frequently the shipping company requires the damaged items back when a claim is filed, so please keep the items and packaging until otherwise instructed.
